Happy Halloween!

The kids had such fun this Halloween, however it was a slow start. Hunter proclaimed on Thursday that he didn't like school anymore because it was too scary. They had a dress-up recital and he wouldn't get anywhere near any costume. The next day, Halloween, I finally convinced him to get on the pants of his costume. Of course I had to use bribery by telling him that he couldn't get any candy if he wasn't in a costume. He decided that he would wear the pants and suspenders of his firefighter costume. Yes it's the same one he wore last year but he fits in it much better this year. So by the time we were done walking around downtown he had started to get excited about trick or treating. Sarah had fun too but she didn't quite understand why.

As we walked home he was encouraged to try trick or treating at an actual house instead of just the people sitting in front of their businesses downtown. By the time we were halfway home he wanted to try every house. We even convinced him to put on his hat.
After we finally made it home and had a quick break to eat dinner, he wanted to go right back out again. He was so motivated that he even put on his fireman's jacket. So by the end of the night he was happily bouncing from house to house telling all of our neighbors his life story. He had a blast and now he want to go trick or treating everyday.
