Having fun with the iPhone

Hunter and I were playing with some of the applications that I have on my iPhone and we started decorating some pictures. I thought that these were funny so I wanted to share.
The kids have been doing well except for getting hand, foot and mouth disease last week. Sarah handled it well aside from being extra cranky. Hunter had more trouble as he had a lot of problems with his mouth. Needless to say no one has had much sleep in the last few days. Especially my darling husband who has slept in Hunter's room with him 3 out of the last 4 days (I took one night). It helps him to go back to sleep to have one of us there. So hopefully they'll be all better soon and we'll be able to go out in public again.

"Box" car races

We went to Costco the other day and did our usual stock up of diapers and such. With that comes the empty boxes that the kids love to play with and in. Rob decided to take them on a box car ride around the house. He even put in a "steering wheel" for them. They both loved it and even did a pretty good job taking turns. Hunter was better at that than Sarah as he would follow them around the house. They had a blast until Daddy's back decided that it was time to stop.

SLO Children's Museum

We took the kids to the SLO Children's Museum on Sunday and they had a lot of fun. They finally opened last month but for some reason I thought they had opened the whole thing. They actually only had part of it open so we'll have more to play with the next time that we go.
They had fun playing with the big velcro shapes and sticking them to the wall. Sarah had a blast playing in the giant "campfire" as I called it. Then they moved on to the obstacle course and of course to the train set up. They did get around to reading some books and Hunter made his way through every puzzle that they had on display. We had a lot of fun and the kids even stayed awake until we were on our way home. It's so nice to have Daddy home to do fun things with.

Baby Mess

We call her baby mess for a reason. I know I've told you all how much she loves to play in the dirt but I found this picture especially funny. She's trying to hand me a "flower", really it's just the stem, just like her brother does all of the time. She'll figure it out some day. She mostly doesn't eat them anymore which is a good thing.

Car Wash?

Hunter has always been a fan of using the swimming pool to wash his toys. Lately he's graduated to putting all of the big toys in there. Today he decided to try and wash them all while they were in there. If you'll notice, he is in his pajamas too as he's doing this all at 8:oo in the morning. It's a good thing that we live in a climate that allows us to be outside so much or they would go totally stir crazy. He also likes to wash his other car using the pail. That's much more realistic and cute to watch. At least he hasn't tried to put that one in the pool.

Mr. Ninja

My good friends (Noel and Cally) that used to live in Alaska have now moved to Portland, OR. They recently found a little ninja man and his brother. They decided to send me his brother to enjoy the beautiful California weather but with that comes the responsibility to "show him the town" So when you're looking at our pictures you may find Mr. Ninja's Brother here and there.

More Grandparent Fun

As you can tell from my last post, we went up to the Bay Area to visit my parents and Kymi for a few days. We had such a good time. I included some pictures from our trip. We hung out at my folks the first night. Sarah got to play with m wallet, which is one of her favorite past times, and Kymi came to visit and played with Hunter for a while. I LOVE my Kymi, she stole me away for a few hours as we closed down the local Target while drinking non-leaded Starbucks. Then we went back to find that Sarah awoke just 30 minute after we left and was having the BEST time hanging out with the grandparents, sans Hunter.

The next day we we hung out in the yard for  bit and Hunter and Sarah took turns cleaning up the leaves.... Then they played with the big wheels and the dump truck.

After that  we met up with Kymi and Audrey and hung ut at the mall for a bit. The kids played in the kids' area for a while and had a fabulous time. Audrey went down the slide a million times and Hunter quickly learned how to climb over the wall and I had to chase him down a few times. Usually he was in front of the escalators.
The day ended with Hunter falling asleep at a late lunch and he slept while we looked at the disney store. That helped us to get through without buying things.. Yeah! What a great time we had in the Bay Area with the Grandparents. We hung out that night at dinner and everyone did really well, and the next day we hung out most of the morning. Hunter and Sarah love to visit their Grandparents.
