Running Away from Home

I think Sarah has decided that she's had enough.... she came out of her room tonight with all of her bags and backpacks in tow. She then walked up to the front door saying bye bye and blew me a kiss. Maybe she wanted to go visit the Grandparents, who knows but I thought that it was really cute. I told her that I wouldn't take it personally and I told her to keep in touch.

Interesting Train Play

So I went into Hunter's room this morning to find him playing with his trains.... I noticed an odd configuration of the people that were waiting for the next train to come. I'm not sure what to make of what I saw but he was having a good time.

Christmas Parade

We went to the Christmas Parade today in Grover Beach. It was a lot of fun considering we went by ourselves. Hunter quickly made friends with the little boy in the group next to us, as he usually does. They handed out American flags and Hunter was teaching him how to wave it around. He was also acting like he was whistling by putting his fingers in his mouth and screaming, it was really cute. He had such a blast and watched every float and group go by.
Sarah on the other hand was less impressed. She was slightly excited by the horses when they went by but other than that little held her attention as much as playing with the wagon and doing laps around us. She also liked the candy that everyone was handing out. All in all we had a really good time.

At the Children's Museum Again

We went to the SLO Children's Museum again today. It's been a little chilly, don't laugh - it's been cold for California, so we wanted to play indoors somewhere. I apologize for the poor photo quality, I forgot my camera so these were taken with my phone.
Hunter was playing with the train set that they have there for about an hour with another boy his age. He's getting so imaginative and watching him play is so much fun now. Sarah and I were making towers and knocking them down to keep busy. They both had a blast. Then we went to another area where Hunter dressed up as a fireman and pretended to drive to the nearest fire. Sarah in the meantime was busy playing quietly with the kitchen, which has lately been a favorite activity of hers. She played quietly until Hunter came over and they proceeded to take ALL of the play food and serve it to me plate by plate completely filling up that empty looking table in the photo. They also were very excited to make me eggs, "Just like Grandpa does" and served it to me on toast.
It was a fun filled day and now the kids are fast asleep. So until next time I'm going to enjoy some peace and quiet.
